Incident Summary:
The match between IR Academy and ECFC Salinas was terminated following a verbal confrontation between the spectators from both teams.
Comments:
The PAD Committee supports the expulsion of the 2 teams from State Cup. The coach of the Monterey County team, Guillermo Reyes, is suspended 2 games for failing to control his team's spectators. The coaches of the IR Academy team, Matthew McDonald and Brandon McManigal, are each suspended 2 games for failing to control their team's spectators.
The PAD Committee recommends that the Board of Directors consider placing Monterey County on probation. Any further, similar incidents involving IR Academy, will result in a PAD recommendation to the NorCal Board of Directors that a membership review for IR Academy occur.
