Incident Summary:
Match was terminated after a fight between the 2 teams. After the match the San Ramon coach and manager asked the referee for his name and credentials.
Comments:
The San Ramon coach, Luis Almonte, is suspended 3 games - 2 for failing to control his team's players and 1 for his team manager approaching the referee after the match and asking for the referee's name and credentials. Referees should never be approached and asked for their name and credentials - the club requesting that information should contact the home club's referee assignor to confirm the referee was licensed.
Referees should never give out their phone numbers to coaches or other team officials / spectators.
