Incident Summary:Allegation that a Merced parent threatened to retrieve a gun after a verbal altercation with a coach.
Comments:Coach Garibay is suspended for 2 games for engaging in a verbal altercation with a player. Coaches should never verbally engage with players on opposing teams.
The coach of Atlas Academy (Merced), Mariela Perez, is suspended for 2 games for failing to control her team's parents. Atlas Academy (Merced) is placed on probation for 12 months for a spectator threatening to retrieve a fire arm. It is always unacceptable to threaten to retrieve or use a firearm at a NorCal event. The PAD Committee recommends that a police report be filed concerning this issue. Stockton Storm is encouraged to contact Andres Deza, the Event Coordinator concerning the return match between the teams.
